Part of VPUU’s Covid-19 work entailed supporting ECD’s by installing 31 Enviro Loos in 17 crèches. Safe toilets are a key component for ECD centres to function properly. None of the 17 ECDS where we installed the Enviro Loos were had a safe toilet system before.
The Enviro Loo is a waterless toilet system that provides a safe, environmentally friendly, cost-effective solution to sanitation for ECD’s and Informal Settlements.
An evaporation and dehydration system, the Enviro Loo utilises sun and wind to transform human waste into a safe, neutral, pathogen free material, without the use of water, chemicals or electricity.
