The Department of Agriculture (DOA) growing home gardeners in C-Section Monwabisi Park
The Department of Agriculture (DOA) is working with VPUU and the community of C-Section Monwabisi Park to promote urban gardening. They provide training and supply tools and materials required to start a home garden and maintain them.
This October they provided equipment for 35 home gardeners and will be supporting more in December 2019 as part of their expanding and successful social enterprise project.
This home gardener movement is part of a greater urban gardening revolution quietly taking place across communities in South Africa and the world.
