VPUU NPC implements multi-sectoral integrated area based upgrading programmes of neighbourhoods in townships and informal settlements. This is done in partnership with communities, the City of Cape Town, Drakenstein Municipality, Theewaterskloof Municipality and the Western Cape Government. We work in an integrated team of community participation, socio-economic development, operation and maintenance, planning and design, infrastructure, and knowledge management towards sustainable urban neighbourhoods. An area strategy has been developed with community leaders, municipal officials & provincial officials which is called the community action plan.
We are currently expanding our team and offer following positions:
Community Participation – Coordinator
Salary: R27 000 per month
This is a fixed term contract until 30 June 2018.
To provide a communication channel between VPUU, Local Government, the communities and other relevant stakeholders and role players within the Alcohol Harms Reduction (AHR) Gamechanger project and Community Participation in Drakenstein and Khayelitsha areas.
