29th October marked the opening of the soccer field at Monwabisi Park Section A.
The field complements the adjacent Monwabisi Park Neighbourhood Centre, adding an additional facility for the community, a soccer field with lights. Further, it has been designed as a water catchment and drainage point for the Monwabisi Park community.

Although the opening went off without a hiccup, the evening before was less smooth sailing.
The truck delivering the posts was too large to get through and almost got entangled in some electricity wires. The community and general workers reacted quickly, offloaded the posts on to a bakkie, and delivered them to the MP neighbourhood centre, and early the next day they were installed, ready to welcome all the guests for the opening.
